And more German possession and another move down the US left ends with Ozil getting a shot on goal from 12 yards.
The US are more in this game now than they were in the first 10 minutes, but that is a very low bar. It will be a huge achievement to go into halftime 0-0.
Gonzalez picks up a yellow for a tackle on Schweinsteiger.
That means that Beckerman, the US' defensive midfielder, and one of the two US centerbacks have yellows in the opening 35 minutes. That's not a good thing for the already under siege US defense.
The US is now playing with a back SIX. That's right, six defenders on the backline.
Second half underway!
Germany made one sub: Miroslav Klose is on, Lucas Podolski is off.
Another change from the first half: it is not raining.
Gonzalez puts in a challenge to keep Ozil from having a point-blank free header. Great defending. He's been very good since his bad first clearance. Two excellent tackles and now this to save what looked like a goal.
Just out of the TV picture: Manuel Neuer, the German goalkeeper, is playing almost 35 yards off his line and urging his defenders to push higher up the field.
GOAL! BELGIUM 1 - 0 SOUTH KOREA
The Belgain captain Jan Vertonghen slots home a rebound and 10-men Belgium are on top of Group H again. Somewhat of a random item, but can we rename Group H the "Group of Bore"?
The last day of this group has been somewhat interesting, but really other than that it has been uneventful. Belgium, supposed darkhorses to win the World Cup, have been unable to score many goals despite a talented team. Russia have been dull. South Korea have lacked an ingenuity or skill. But for Algeria, this looked like a group where no one wanted to win (or lose) a game.
Russia win a corner and the header is wide. It looked for a moment like going in, but on the replay, the keeper had it well covered.
FULL TIME! Algeria draw 1-1 and are through to the round of 16! The players rush the field and celebrate.
They'll take on Germany next.
